Candle Care & Safety
To enjoy the cleanest burn, best fragrance, and longest life from your candle, follow these simple care guidelines.
Before Each Burn
Always trim the wick to ¼ inch (6 mm) before lighting.
A properly trimmed wick helps:
-
Prevent soot and smoke
-
Keep the flame at the right height
-
Create a clean, even melt pool
-
Extend the life of your candle
Use wick trimmers or scissors, and remove any loose debris from the wax before lighting.
First Burn Is the Most Important
Let the candle burn until the wax melts fully across the surface, usually 2 to 4 hours (depending on candle size).
This helps prevent tunneling and keeps future burns smooth and even.
Burn Time
-
Do not burn for more than 4 hours at a time.
-
Extinguish the flame, allow the wax to cool and harden, then trim the wick again before relighting.
Short, repeated burns often give better fragrance and longer candle life than one long burn.
While Burning
-
Always place your candle on a heat-safe, stable surface
-
Keep away from drafts, pets, children, and anything flammable
-
Never move a candle while it is lit or while the wax is hot
If you want, I can also format this into a two-column WIX layout (headings on the left, tips on the right) or give you a copy-paste version for a WIX Rich Text block with spacing that looks clean.
